Dress Code

                                           2024-2025 Student Dress Code

  • Jewelry is limited to only earrings. Piercings that set off the metal detector will need to be removed before students come to school.
  • Students must wear appropriate fitting, uniform-style khaki-colored pants. All pockets must be able to be turned inside out for search. Elastic waists or pant legs are not permitted and sagging is not allowed.
  • Students must wear appropriate GIVE East Squad T-shirt. The shirt may be either long or short sleeved. If a Squad T-shirt is not worn, a solid colored (designated by squad) shirt with a collar must be worn.
  • Solid black, gray, or white jackets/sweatshirts only, hoodies are not permitted to be worn. Lining must be neutral color (black, white, gray, and tan).
  • Shoes must be solid black, solid white, solid gray, or any combination of the three colors. Flip flops, sandals, house shoes or slippers are not permitted. Socks must be school appropriate. The portion of socks uncovered by shoe must be solid black/white only.
  • A students’ underwear should not be visible at anytime while on campus. 
  • Shorts/pants are not allowed to worn under GIVE Center East pants.
  • Headbands/hair ties must be solid black/white and may be no wider than 1 inch. They must be worn in the hair. No other hair accessories are allowed including bandanas.
  • Combs/picks/hairbrushes are not permitted.
  • Solid black/white knit hats may be worn outside only.
  • Any keys must be on a single ring and kept in pocket.
  • Only solid black/white binders are permitted. (No pictures/no drawings).
  • Only clear purses are allowed.
  • Students may not have more than $20 dollars in their possession.
  • Students can only use standard pencils. No mechanical pencils.
  • Cell phones, Smart watches, electronics, headphones, earbuds, or Air-Pods are not allowed.
  • Only sealed bottled water (at search) is allowed.
  • Students are not permiteed to bring extra clothing for after school activities (unless written permission provided by GIVE Center East).
  • Backpacks, bookbags, or lunch containers are not allowed.
  • Candy or gum is not allowed.

Prohibited items will be collected and released to parents.

DRESS CODE APPLIES AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON CAMPUS. ALL STUDENTS MUST ADHERE TO THE GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.
